What’s the difference between British Shorthairs and British Longhairs?

British Shorthairs have short, dense, plush coats, while British Longhairs have long, flowing, and soft fur. Both share the same body structure, temperament, and breed characteristics.

Are British Shorthairs and Longhairs good with children and other pets?

Yes! They are gentle, calm, and loving companions. Their composed temperament makes them excellent with respectful children and calm pets.

Do British Shorthairs or Longhairs require a lot of grooming?

British Shorthairs require minimal grooming—just a weekly brush. Longhairs need brushing 2–3 times a week to prevent mats and keep their coat stunning.

What is the lifespan of a British Shorthair or Longhair?

On average, they live between 12–18 years, with many living beyond that with proper care and a healthy lifestyle.

How big do British Shorthairs and Longhairs get?

Males can weigh 12–20 lbs and females 8–14 lbs. They have a solid, muscular, and regal build that matures around age 3–5.

We specialize in British Chinchilla (Shaded) kittens—Silver and Golden. These rare and stunning colorations include emerald or blue eyes and shimmering coats. Our Chinchilla shades include: golden black, golden point, silver point, golden blue.

Are your kittens socialized?

Absolutely. All our kittens are raised in our home, never caged, and are used to human interaction, household noises, and loving environments. They are affectionate, confident, and well-socialized.

What vaccinations and vet care do your kittens receive?

Each kitten is vet-checked, vaccinated, and dewormed before going to their new home.

Are your kittens litter trained?

Yes, all our kittens are fully litter trained before going to their new homes.

Do your kittens come with a health guarantee?

Yes, we provide a written health guarantee covering genetic illnesses and congenital conditions for a specified period.

Reservation Process

How can I reserve a kitten?

You can reserve a kitten by filling out the application form on our website and placing a non-refundable deposit. Visit our Reserve a Kitten page for details. We do have a buyer/seller contract that needs to be signed by both parties as well.

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Do you allow visits to your cattery?

We do not allow in-home visits to protect the health and safety of our cats and kittens. However, we are happy to schedule a video call or meet you at a mutually agreed-upon public location so you can meet the kitten in person.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes! We offer delivery options across the U.S. We can also arrange video calls so you can virtually meet your kitten before delivery.

When can I take my kitten home?

Kittens are ready to leave at 12–14 weeks old, once they are fully weaned, litter trained, and have received their vaccinations.
